This is a very rare 30 eyar russo-japanese war commemoration bronze badge from 1935. The front has a beautiful rendition of admiarl togo heihachiro and a poem about loyalty to the emperor. The back shows the famous z flag in front fo a rising sun flag and a ship's large anchor resting in cherry blossoms. Absolutely beautiful. The larger writing is in gold gilt and reads nichirou kaisen 30 shunen kinen (30 year anniversary of the sea battle commemoration). It's dated below that, may 27, 1935.
